Our Philosophy

Welcome to Cogito, where we believe that the early years are the most formative period in a child’s development, and that rich, meaningful experiences lay the foundation for lifelong growth.

The name Cogito derives from the Latin phrase meaning “I think,” reflecting our belief in children as active thinkers and meaning-makers. The word kindergarten originates from the philosophy of Friedrich Fröbel, who envisioned education as a “garden for children,” where each child is nurtured with care and respect.

We believe that nature and community play a central role in early learning. Our kindergarten nurtures curiosity and creativity through play. We provide a supportive environment filled with meaningful opportunities for children to explore, question, create, and experience joy.

Creativity

We believe that personal creativity contributes significantly to child development. Educational experiences that inspire creativity in early childhood are essential. We hope to foster in our children the capacity to become creative innovators.

Curiosity

We offer a child-centered, project-based learning environment. These experiences help children develop essential skills such as curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.

Diversity

Education is a lifelong process that includes understanding the world of “others.” To support this, we incorporate projects that explore different social and cultural traditions such as Hamukka, Holi, Halloween, Christmas, Lunar New Year, and Ramadan.
